Lil Wayne's Lawsuit Against Birdman And Cash Money Could Go Away If They Pay Him! What's The Hold Up?!

This whole thing could be settled and resolved with just a little cash money! OH, the irony!

Lil Wayne has been doing everything in his power to get the money he so rightfully deserves from Birdman and Cash Money Records.

He recently filed a lawsuit against his mentor, asking to be released from his contract with the label, along with $51 million dollars!

However, if Birdman just pays the cash he owes the rapper, Wayne doesn't necessarily have the grounds to ask to leave since the contract would no longer be breached.

According to sources close to this case, they're saying Weezy thinks the reason why Birdman isn't paying him is because it's just a power play.

Well, this is a VERY expensive power play. Some people are just super stubborn!

The insiders continued to say that the A Milli rapper says Cash Money owes him two payments — $8 million when he started recording Tha Carter V in December of 2013 and then another $2 million when he finished the album.

If CM ultimately decides to settle, then that means Weezy wouldn't need to move forward with the lawsuit to end his contract.

As for the $51 million Wayne is suing for, it would go bye bye if the label settles, since that amount was based on possible lost profits if Tha Cater V never saw the light of day.

Your move, Birdman.
