Sister Wives Stars Release Statement On Divorce Controversy! They Say New Marriage Will 'Legally Restructure' Family!
And the Sister Wives drama keeps heating up!
As we reported, TLC star Kody Brown secretly divorced his first wife Meri, 44, last fall in order to marry his newest — and youngest — wife Robyn, 37.
Viewers were shocked to hear this news, and wondered if this change would impact the dynamic — and members — of their kinship.
Well now, the Brown family has released an official statement, but it sure doesn't answer everybody's questions!
"We have chosen to legally restructure our family… We made this decision together as a family. We are grateful to our family, friends and fans for all their love and support."
Legally restructure?! What does that even mean?!
Legally, the Apostolic United Brethren-follower can only be married to one person, so the logic to swap one spouse for the other doesn't quite check out.
Although there were rumors that this "restructuring" happened in order to give benefits to Robyn's children — some of whom aren't biological.
The unconventional unit — including other wives Christine and Janelle — have yet to comment on the exact reason.
