As a former Miss USA contestant, Katherine Webb knows what it's like to be subject to scrutiny.
But the beauty queen turned model felt a wave of online criticism after posting a photo of herself in a black bikini on Instagram.
Comments said she looked unhealthy and too skinny, which Katherine says was the farthest from the truth. The 25-year-old told Extra:
"I started getting in shape and working out… and the response was just disgusting. Anorexic, disgusting, you need to eat a hamburger, eat a donut, what happened, I've seen hotter, you look ugly, terrible comments."
Check out the photo in question:
"This is a topic that is very sensitive to me because I had self esteem issues growing up, I was always the tall, awkward lanky girl and so it's very important to me that people not bully each other about their appearance or their bodies. Women that are bullied because of their weight whether they are 150 to 200 pounds or 110 to 112 it doesn't matter."
Her message is to celebrate all bodies.

You may remember Katherine as Miss Alabama 2012. She also became an overnight sensation when cameras focused on her in the stands at the 2013 BCS Championship. She went on to marry the quarterback in that game, AJ McCarron.
