Fans of the hit Bravo franchise are probably aware that Lydia McLaughlin didn't come back for the new season of Real Housewives of Orange County.
But what you probably didn't know is that the mother-of-three attributes her relationship with God as the reason why!
In her new book Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide to Faith and Happiness Lydia explains how she decided to call it quits, saying:
"When I was asked back to do season 9, I wanted to do it. Being on the show was everything the world tells us to desire and it was what I desired. But deep, deep down — so quiet I could almost silence it — I knew in my heart it was not God's plan for me to go back."
At least she followed her heart!
Lydia was replaced by Shannon Beador and Lizzie Rovsek, but we're sure her presence will continue to be sorely missed when RHOOC premieres on April 14.
What do U think about Lydia's decision to forgo fame in the name of her religion??
