This was an obvious move, right?
For months now, Bill Cosby has been embroiled by story after story of women who claim that he drugged and/or sexually assaulted them.

On Friday, his lawyers went to a federal judge, asking that the defamation suit, filed by three women starting back in December 2014, be thrown out.
Part of the 38-page filing states:
"The law does not require that one stand idly by while he is publicly attacked. Instead the law entitles an individual who is accused of serious wrongdoing to rebut the allegations without facing defamation claims."
That's not how the women see it though. Their lawyer, Joseph Cammarata, explained:
"We believe that the law provides that when you make a public statement about an individual, it must be truthful. We look forward to an opportunity to have the truth tried by a jury who can ultimately determine which of the parties was being truthful."
Cosby's camp continues to deny that he ever did anything wrong, and the lawyers for the three ladies have until March 20 to reply to the motion to dismiss.
