And as near as anyone can tell, it's the youngest same sex kiss in TV history!
Hayden Byerly, who plays Jude, spoke to AfterBuzz TV on Tuesday about being part of the next big step in same sex acceptance on TV, saying:
"It's very cool. It's incredible. It's an honor to be part of something so serious, and something very big. I mean, it's changing the world. It's making differences everywhere … that need to be made."
We couldn't agree more!
We already know that what people see on TV affects their hearts and minds; Joe Biden has specifically credited Will & Grace with the great strides in marriage equality over the past decade.
So how long has Hayden known this was coming? He revealed:
"Not very long. It took us a long time to get to this point. For me portraying this character and Gavin [MacIntosh] portraying this character was a long process that took some time… [Creators Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg] wanted to make sure I was comfortable with my own sexuality before they started playing with Jude's."
Wow! How responsible and mature!
We're so glad everyone was comfortable with this! Especially the fans! #TeamJonnor !!!
