Hate getting off the couch to charge your smartphone? Wish it could just charge someway else that doesn't involve a lot of plugging and unplugging?
Well, Ikea apparently has heard the complaints and now have a solution for those whom want to simplify the act of charging one's smartphone.
The Swedish furniture maker will be rolling out furniture in April that will be be able to wirelessly charge some smartphones and tablets.

The new pieces are called Home Smart furniture and the tech collection will feature tables, lamps, and desks that will be available in North America and Europe next month.
The announcement was made this past Sunday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, and after the initial roll out is finished… a global release will happen soon afterwards!
The furniture, of course, will need to be plugged in for the Qi technology, a technology that is currently the most widely used wireless charging standard today!
Here's what Ikea spokesperson Bjorn Block said in a statement:
"Our belief is that mobile phones are vital parts to people's lives at home and their desire to stay connected, and Qi addresses an unmet need to keep devices powered."
The only bummer news so far is that the furniture is NOT compatible with any Apple iPhones at this point, but many Android phone users - like the Samsung Galaxy S6, Google Nexus 6 and various Nokia Lumia devices - are compatible with the Home Smart furniture.
Hopefully Apple will make an iPhone with wireless tech someday as well!
Otherwise they'll be missing out on a huge untapped market and we know they don't want to do that!
Not if they want this innovative furniture technology to be as successful as it possibly can!
