This will be the opposite of miserable!

Bruce Willis has officially signed up to make his Broadway debut this upcoming Fall in the unlikeliest of places! A Stephen King adaptation!

The action star will be appearing in the play Misery and the play is written by the same person who wrote the screenplay for the film — William Goldman.

That film of course starred Kathy Bates, who was amazing in that movie, and her role on stage will be played by Elizabeth Marvel opposite of Bruce Willis.

Bruce will play the novelist who is held prisoner after he breaks his leg in a car accident, and a big fan of his becomes enraged with him after learning he plans to kill off her favorite recurring character!

Misery is being produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and we cannot wait to see what this play has in store for the world after the beloved film dropped almost twenty years ago!

Here is what the producer of the play Mark Kaufman said:

"…MISERY is an outstanding psychological thriller and we have been working closely with William Goldman and Will Frears to develop this play for Broadway. Bruce Willis, who is making his Broadway debut, and Elizabeth Marvel are two great actors who are absolutely perfect to play these characters. I expect this production will be a suspenseful and exciting night of theatre on Broadway."

We'd love for this move to be successful for Bruce!

He's conquered all other obstacles in his life — why not Broadway, as well?!?!
