Hmm... Where have we heard this before...
Now this is what you call dedication — because having a small waist wasn't enough for the iconic Disney princess dress!
Lily James had to go on a liquid diet just to deal with the uncomfortableness of the Cinderella corset which cinched her insides! Yikes!
The actress has been receiving a lot of criticism for her tiny waist as shown in the film, but she wants you to know she didn't enjoy wearing the tight garment.
Especially since she had to give up solid foods for the fit!
"I think I may be trying to get sympathy a bit there. I'm being a bit over the top. When [the corset] was on we would be on continuous days so we wouldn't stop for lunch or a lovely tea like this—you'd be sort of eating on the move. In that case, I couldn't untie the corset. So if you ate food it didn't really digest properly and I'd be burping all afternoon in [Richard Madden]'s face, and it was just really sort of unpleasant. I'd have soup so that I could still eat but it wouldn't get stuck."
Eep! We can't imagine having to wear a corset on a full stomach! Guess soup is a lot easier, because it's just like, water. LOLz!
The 25-year-old actress went on to turn the situation into a positive one for girls dealing with body issues, telling them not to focus too much on being thin.
"For girls growing up sometimes I think they get the wrong idea for what women should look like and I think it's so important to be healthy and confident and natural. And not put too much stress on trying to be thin—I don't get the thin, thin thing at all. I'm actually finding it really hard not to eat right now."
Ahhh, spoken like a true human being. LOLz!
That liquid diet sounds awful, but it's great she can spin the situation and remind girls it's better to be healthy than to be skinny!
