Just like a zombie apocalypse, the decision to give The Walking Dead a spinoff required a lot of… brains.
Now, AMC has announced that not only will the untitled project get a release date, it's already ordered TWO seasons.
The first season will have six eps, which is great. We know fans would want more, but still, it's better than nothing, right?
But a whole second season? Now, that's some pretty incredible news.
Here's what the show's Governor… uh, we mean, the show's executive producer Robert Kirkman had to say about the joyous news in a statement:
"We feel empowered by this two-season commitment, a serious show of faith from our network partner AMCI personally take it as a sign that they believe, like we do, that we've accomplished our goal of developing something original that can pay tribute to the original show and expand the world I created while at the same time having something new to say with this story. I'm very grateful that we now have the opportunity to tell this amazing story and show the fans that we really haven't scratched the surface yet when it comes to The Walking Dead."
We can't wait for late summer to come!
