Star/co-writer Dan Aykroyd has re-teamed with original director Ivan Reitman to create what they're calling Ghost Corps (shouldn't that be ghost corpse? LOLz).
The new venture is an attempt to relaunch the franchise not just as a new series of films but as a whole cinematic universe, a la The Avengers!
In addition to the all-female reboot coming in 2016, there will be a male version! Is this what Paul Feig meant when he said there could be 50 Ghostbusters?
Channing, along with his partner Reid Carolin, will produce and star in that movie.

And Marvel and Sony's new share-and-share-alike policy will extend past Spider-Man, because the movie will be written by Iron Man 3's Drew Pearce and directed by Captain America: The Winter Soldier's Joe and Anthony Russo.
No word yet on Chris Pratt's involvement, but with that many people trying to make it happen, we won't be surprised if Star-Lord jumps on board!
