In a recent interview, co-creators Danny Strong and Lee Daniels said they plan on maintaining the show's stellar ratings in their sophomore season, and having the 61-year-old media titan guest star would definitely do the trick!
So, what did Mama O say about the possible guest role after she was approached by Daniels?
"I tell him: 'Lee, it's not enough that you've taken every viewer possible on Wednesday night. Now you want me to leave my own network?'"
Lee Daniels has a great relationship with the star as they worked together on The Butler and an upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. The 55-year-old director is hopeful that Oprah will appear on the show, saying, "I'm wearing her down!"
