'80s classic The Breakfast Club is coming up on its 30th anniversary this year — it's even coming back to theaters!
But would John Hughes' coming-of-age comedy be so well-remembered if it had a gratuitous boob shot right in the middle?
According to author Kirk Honeycutt's upcoming book John Hughes: A Life In Film, the original script had a scene straight out of Porky's in which the high schoolers find a peep hole into the girls' locker room!
So what kept this misogynistic misstep out of the final film?
The Breakfast Club's young stars Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy!
According to the book, the two actresses teamed up with producer Michelle Manning to drop some knowledge on Hughes about the sexism in the scene!
Thank goodness he listened!
Otherwise we might not still be celebrating The Breakfast Club today!
