This could become really big -- and it sounds horrifying.

Prepare yourselves, Cumberbitches!
Sherlock Homes and Dr. Watson are going back in time to Victorian London in the upcoming Christmas special of Sherlock!
After pictures surfaced of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freemen dressed for the 1800s, fans went crazy with speculation. Some thought the characters were in costume for a ball, others said it was for a dream sequence within the special.
But creator Steven Moffat has since confirmed the more farfetched of the fan theories — the upcoming special is to take place entirely in the 19th century!
"The special is its own thing. We wouldn't have done the story we're doing, and the way we're doing it, if we didn't have this special. It's not part of the run of three episodes. So we had this to do it – as we could hardly conceal – it's Victorian. [Co-creator Mark Gatiss] and me, we wanted to do this, but it had to be a special, it had to be separate entity on its own. It's kind of in its own little bubble."
The 53-year-old creator added that he's very pleased with how the special has turned out. Though no air date has been officially set by BBC, the special is expected to air around December!
