Well, bust our chifforobe!
HarperCollins publishers revealed the book jacket for the highly anticipated Harper Lee book Go Set A Watchman, the sequel to her Pulitzer Prize Winning novel, To Kill A Mockingbird!!
For now, we can pretty much only judge the book by its cover — but we like what we see!
The yellow leaves gazing from above, and the approaching train evoke a feeling of both mystery and familiarity. The timeless style definitely sets a similar tone of the 50th anniversary book jacket for Mockingbird.
"There are so many wonderful parts of Go Set a Watchman that it was hard to pick just one iconic image to represent the book. This design is perfect - it draws on the style of the decade the book was written, but with a modern twist."
According to HarperCollins, the book begins with Scout's train ride from New York back to Maycomb, Alabama to visit her father Atticus Finch. But the train on the cover could also represent the journey the characters have taken 20 years since the events of Mockingbird.
Either way, it sounds like we can expect another classic novel!
