Giuliana Rancic can't catch a break.
On April 1, Rancic revealed the devastating news that her surrogate miscarried on New Year's Eve with the 40-year-old's last viable embryo.
Out of the four embryos that Giuliana and her husband, Bill Rancic, procured, only one resulted in a successful full term pregnancy. In 2012, the couple welcomed their only child and miracle baby, Duke.

The E! News anchor shared her devastated feelings on the latest miscarriage:
"It was painful. We were so optimistic with this last embryo. We thought, ‘This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.'"
How disappointing. We imagine the loss was doubly disappointing considering all of the stress the momma is under with the scrutiny about her weight. Not to mention all the drama with the Fashion Police!
The Naples native added:
"We're open to everything. I think adoption is a beautiful gift you're giving each other. And it's funny, I'm even more open to adoption than I was before. Because I think to myself, 'I love Duke so much, if I couldn't take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him.'"
What a positive way of looking at the situation. There's a ton of adoptable children out there who would absolutely thrive in Giuliana and Bill's home!
We have a feeling this isn't the end of the television personality's mission to give Duke a sibling!
