Joni Mitchell was hospitalized on Tuesday after falling unconscious inside her L.A. home.
The legendary singer's official Twitter account broke the unfortunate news that Mitchell was sent to the hospital, then two hours later tweeted an update on her condition:
According to sources, paramedics rushed to the Canadian folk singer's Bel Air residence after getting a 9-1-1 call.

In December, the singer told Billboard magazine that she had Morgellons Disease, a rare skin condition that has left her unable to sing, perform or record.
It's still unknown whether or not this illness was the cause of Mitchell's hospitalization, but the artist's website released an update that she regained consciousness during the ambulance ride to the hospital. The statement reads:
"Joni was found unconscious in her home this afternoon. She regained consciousness on the ambulance ride to an L.A. area hospital. She is currently in intensive care undergoing tests and is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them. Light a candle and sing a song, let's all send good wishes her way."
It sounds like she's definitely making improvements!
Our heart goes out to Mitchell as we wish her a speedy recovery!
