Now her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, is apparently popping back into the picture.
It's being reported by In Touch that Sofia and Nick are now in a legal battle over some frozen embryos.
It seems the once happy couple went to a fertility center about six months before they split to have embryos created from his sperm and her eggs. Those were then frozen, but now there's a question about what happens to the two cryopreserved female embryos.
A lawsuit has apparently been filed by Nick, under the alias John Doe, in California where he "seeks to ensure that the Female Embryos are not destroyed, but Jane Doe [Sofia] refuses to agree to their preservation under all circumstances."
The lawsuit was reportedly filed first in August 2014, but has been updated and refiled with new information in April 2015.
The couple is said to have previously tried to conceive by using a surrogate, but didn't have any success. Now with two final embryos, it seems Nick still wants to hold onto that chance of having children through this process as a source has commented:
"Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos. Nick is very emotionally invested in these female embryos because he's pro-life and believes life begins at conception."
However, it is reported that the former couple did have to agree on what would happen to the embryos should they pass away. And it appears in this lawsuit that Nick is claiming he didn't agree, but went along with what Sofia wanted:
"Jane insisted that in such a circumstance, the Female Embryos be thawed with no further action. John did not agree with Jane and refused to initial his agreement regarding that term. Jane insisted that John agree to the destruction of the Female Embryos under that circumstance, and began vigorously berating him in the offices. John Doe signed this portion of the Former Directive, even though he did not agree with it, in order to avoid further abuse."
Hmmm, this is all really, really messy if it's true!
We're not sure what actually happened when these two supposedly went through this process, but we would hope they can settle this peacefully.
Since they've both moved on in their romantic lives, we doubt they want any more of their past relationship hanging over their heads.
Whatever they decide, we hope it is what's best for them both.
