American Idol is all about a commanding stage presence. So, when contestant Quentin Alexander was put on blast by judge Harry Connick Jr., neither backed down!!
It all started during Wednesday's live show, when Alexander performed his version of Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz.

After the performance, host Ryan Seacrest noticed Alexander's angsty state and joined him onstage to ask what was up. The 21-year-old replied:
"This sucks. We've got two of the best vocalists, my best friend, sitting over there, this whole thing is wack, but I'm going to shut up right now."
The host tried to diffuse the situation by reminding the contestant that his buddies Joey Cook and Rayvon Owens could be saved with a vote at the end.
But Connick Jr. saw things a different way. As the contestant was walking backstage, the judge spoke up:
"I don't understand that at all, I don't get that. Are we on commercial?"
After Seacrest confirmed that they were still live, the 47-year-old judge continued:
"Good. Quentin, if it's that wack, then you can always go home, because Idol is paying a lot of money to give you this experience and for you to say that to this hand that is feeding you right now, I think is highly disrespectful."
Fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban sat awkwardly as Alexander marched right up to Connick Jr. at the judges table to clarify himself!
Ch-ch-check out what Quentin had to say for himself in the cringe-worthy video (above)!
