Stand up to the haters, Little Big Town!
As we reported, the Alabama-based band received a flood of controversy when many radio stations refused to play their hit song Girl Crush thinking it was about a lesbian relationship.
While the song is truly about a woman who is jealous of her ex's new girlfriend, conservative outlets still refused to embrace the song.
However, the group also received a lot of support — from fellow artists such as Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton – which is why they are still playing their anthem to this day!
At the 2015 ACM Awards, LBT could have easily avoided ruffling feathers and played another number. However, the country ensemble refused to bow down to detractors, and ended up performing their polarizing ditty!
To watch their beautiful performance, ch-ch-check it out (above)!
