Kim Richards' daughter Brooke Brinson is tying the knot soon.
According to tradition, the bride's family pays for the wedding expenses, but according to a report published by Radar Online, Kim's financial contribution will be minimal.
Instead, the family of Brooke's fiance, Thayer Wiederhorn, will be footing the bill. The Wiederhorns own Fatburger (the restaurant chain is regularly featured on the show) and are wealthy.
But does that mean the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is broke as their article suggests? We did some digging.
As one of the original cast members of the show, Kim reportedly earns $400,000 to $500,000 a season. While no one would claim she's as wealthy as restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump or Lisa Rinna, — who bragged she got seven figures to become the Depends spokesperson — that's a decent paycheck.
She also receives residuals from all the work she did as a child actor.
In addition, as seen on the show, Kim is supporting her ex-husband and Brooke's dad Monty Brinson as he battles terminal cancer.
So if Kim wants to spend whatever money taking care of her ailing loved ones, more power to her. Who cares about tradition? But more importantly, we also hope she's taking care of herself after her well-publicized arrest last week.
We reached out to Kim for this story. So far no comment.
