Sex, escorting, drugs, stripping, YouTube drama, CELEBRITIES and so much more!
Trisha Paytas and I chatted for nearly an hour! She's such a hot mess and she owns it!
She's also utterly compelling! You must WATCH!
This level of hate and ignorance is appalling.
On April 16, Dr. Erica Kolat, the superintendent of McGuffey School District, made a public apology for a group of McGuffey High School students who organized an "anti-gay day" in response to the LGBT community's Day of Silence.
A day before the horrible incident, LGBT students and their supporters took a vow of silence to combat bullying. According to sources at the school, the day of silence event went off without a hitch and the tone was respectful.
Cut to a day later — in protest of the Day of Silence, a group of angry students wore flannel shirts to school with the words "anti-gay" on their hands.
A horrified student explained:
"There was pushing, posters hung on homosexual students' lockers. Teachers were having to run out and take them down."
Wow, what a horrible experience for the school community to endure.
In response to the backlash, Dr.Erica Kolat released the following statement:
"Yesterday afternoon, April 16, 2015, allegations of harassment were brought to the attention of our administration. McGuffey School District, along with school police officers, continue to investigate all allegations. We will follow our Student Code of Conduct, and file legal citations, as warranted. We resolve to ensure that all children can grow and learn in a safe, supportive environment free from discrimination."
Well, we're glad the school is handling the matter ASAP and in a respectful way.
In response to the hate, a few students showed their support for the school's LGBT community with homemade signs.
Check out the love (below)!
We commend those students who stood up to the hate and we hope this terrible incident will act as a learning experience for young people.
