Amidst shakeups with the director and screenwriter leaving, Fifty Shades of Grey fans might be worried that the sequel won't live up to expectations.
Well, word from the top — and we mean the very top — is that Fifty Shades Darker will in fact be a bit different.

Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley said on Wednesday that the next movie will be "more of a thriller."
Wha?? Are they going to use their Masquerade outfits and fight crime? Is Christian Grey Batman??
We're guessing she just means they're going to really play up the sequel's subplots involving stalking and revenge.
But is this change in direction at the behest of author E.L. James, now that her hubby is writing the sequel? Did she want the original to be more suspenseful?
Langley defended the first film, saying:
"For the record, the movie we ended up making is exactly the movie I wanted to make and that the studio wanted to make and that our director wanted to make."
But was it what E.L. wanted to make? Hmm…
