Macho men boycotting a Mad Max movie for being too feminist??
It really MAY be the end of the world of the world! And we feel fine!
"Male rights activist" (seriously, someone thinks that's a thing!) blog Return Of Kings called on men to ban Mad Max: Fury Road as Charlize Theron's badass turn as Furiosa would lead to more women in lead roles in action movies.

Um, that's an even better reason to see it!
The post reads:
"Not only REFUSE to see the movie, but spread the word to as many men as possible. … Because if [men] sheepishly attend and Fury Road is a blockbuster, then you, me, and all the other men (and real women) in the world will never be able to see a real action movie ever again that doesn't contain some damn political lecture or moray about feminism, SJW-ing, and socialism… …men in America and around the world are going to be duped by explosions, fire tornadoes, and desert raiders into seeing what is guaranteed to be nothing more than feminist propaganda, while at the same time being insulted AND tricked into viewing a piece of American culture ruined and rewritten right in front of their very eyes."
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Hold on one second, we're going to catch our breath!
OK, driving right past the fact that Mad Max is and always has been an Australian series and not a piece of "American culture," how is this guy serious?
How does having a movie with a badass woman in it do anything to stop men from being badass? Can't we all BE badasses WITH fab asses together?!

There is no way in which an awesome original character, male or female, is a bad thing. And when it's an awesome, take-charge, kick-butt woman?
Well in that case, it's about time! And Charlize thought so too when she read George Miller's script! She said:
"George really created a female character that I've never read anything like this…
I think for me originally when they were like, 'Oh, Mad Max.' I was like, 'Uh, I'm not going to play the f*cking girl for Mad Max.' Then I read it and I was like, 'Oh, Mad Max. I feel sorry for you.' (Laughs) That rarely happens. It's just really, it's two great characters. It's not the original Mad Max. It's the revamped Mad Max."
Sounds good to us!
Now WE'RE calling on all the real men who love a strong woman and a good explosion to make this guy's nightmare come true and see the crap out of this thing!
Oh yeah, Tom Hardy is in it too.
Mad Max: Fury Road opens everywhere May 15th.
