First releasing an album, then singing with Gillian Anderson, now crying at the X-Files script?! We don't know if we could we love David Duchovny any more!
The actor spoke with Entertainment Weekly and he not only had some news about the X-Files revival mini-series on Fox next year but he admitted to some tears too! During the interview, Duchovny originally said of the show, "I can tell you absolutely nothing—and it's fantastic," but later went on to talk about a couple tidbits he knows!

David said that he's already received the first script for the show and he's read it. Surprisingly he said that while reading it, he started crying. He recounts:
"I just read it about an hour ago and I started crying reading the first page. It was just so strange to see the names on the page. It had nothing to do with the script itself. It was just like, I'd been talking about this for a long time…Now it's the fun part. Now we actually get to do it. That was nice and strangely emotional for me, and I'll have to figure out how to use that [in the performance]."
We're sure a seasoned vet like Duchovny will find a way to channel those emotions and we can't wait to see it!
David went on to talk a bit about the the format of the revival of the show — which will only be 6 episodes — and whether it will be a full arch between the episodes or the stand-alones we're also use to seeing from the original run. In response, Duchovny said:
"Even though there's only six, there will be a mix [of both]. It's not really The X-Files without the mythology."
Oh, he wasn't done with the exciting news! He also went on to talk about the possible future of the show saying that he'd be willing to do more episodes:
"I would be open to doing another cycle. I don't know that I could do a 20-episode version of this show at this point in my life, and I don't know that Gillian could. But I think everybody is open ended on what happens after this. Certainly, we didn't bring it back with the idea of ending it."
Well it's out there! And we can only hope it's the truth! Regardless of if we get more than the season of six episodes Fox has ordered, we're still happy we're getting more Mulder and Scully! We'll just have to IMpatiently wait until January 24th, 2016 for it to premiere!
