If this is true, it is absolutely crazy!

As the eldest son of Caitlyn Jenner, 36-year-old Burt has stayed largely away from public life — but now, he's talking, and what he said about his father in Vanity Fair will surely cause a ripple effect.
Speaking to Buzz Bissinger in the ground-breaking piece this week, Burt didn't mince words about the Bruce he knew as a father growing up, and the relationship he hopes to have with Caitlyn moving forward.
"I think the nail in the coffin for the relationship was the beginning of the TV show. There was a you-aren't-part-of-this kind of thing. Kris made the choice to make a good TV show that was in their image and brand."
Talk about cutting right to the chase…
Burt went on to criticize Bruce as a father during his childhood, telling Bissinger in no uncertain terms how he felt as though he was a self-made man:
"At the end of the day there's no way I can get around it. I am ungodly thankful and I feel very fortunate to not have had my father in my life…. I learned how to open doors and shake hands and look people in the eye. Things that my dad never would have taught me."
To her credit, Caitlyn understands how Bruce had affected Burt, and what needs to happen moving forward with the two of them:
"I have made a lot of mistakes raising the four Jenner kids. I had times not only dealing with my own issues but exes. [It was] very traumatic and there was a lot of turmoil in my life, and I wasn't as close to my kids as I should have been."
Now, at least, Burt is optimistic about building a new relationship with Caitlyn:
"I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce. I'm very much looking forward to that."
As important and hopeful as it is to see the positive reaction surrounding Caitlyn from all corners of society, it's even more important to see her and son Burt talk straight to each other about mending their relationship and moving forward.
Best of luck, you two!
