We are so touched by his honesty!

The transgender and multigendered artist — whose real name is Michael Quattlebaum Jr. — wrote:
This reveal coincides with this past weekend's Los Angeles Pride Festival which not only celebrates LGBT culture, but also human rights and tolerance for others.
In a follow up comment to his own post, the performer exclaimed:
"No more living a lie. HAPPY PRIDE."
In response to a commenter who called him "a hero and a warrior," Blanco wrote:
"Hiding, being afraid of stigma is exhausting, we are souls, not images."
However, the poet understands that there will most likely be backlash from his confession, especially from those in the music industry.
"The music industry ain't gonna like i admitted this so if a curator could help me move more into the art world that would be awesome."
Even with the possible drawback, the Gay Dog Food musician has received an overwhelming amount of love and support from his fans.
We greatly applaud Mykki for having the courage to reveal such a private matter of his life, and we truly hope his act of bravery can eliminate the stigma of those living with HIV.
