*Cue the Law & Order theme music!*
As we previously reported, Caitlyn Jenner was involved in car crash back in February which resulted in the death of 69-year-old Kim Howe.
Since the fatal crash, the former Olympian has been under criminal investigation — and the prosecutors have apparently been keeping their eye on Jenner.
It's reported that the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. is nearing the end of its investigation and should be preparing to send the file over to the district attorney's office in Van Nuys — but they're actually planning on sending it over to the Major Crimes Unit at the main office in Downtown Los Angeles. Yikes.

The MCU deals with very serious felonies and even law enforcement sources find the move "surprising." Hmm, very inneresting.
Sources close to the case implied that Jenner shouldn't even be tried since he wasn't texting or on the phone, rather the crash was just a moment of inattentiveness. If anything, they implied that the reality star should be slapped with a misdemeanor as the worst scenario.
Apparently, a lot of cases involving celebrities end up in major crimes since they're so high profile. Whoa. We guess it's not always a perk to be a celeb!
We're not shocked, especially as the Keeping Up With The Kardashians celebrity is also being sued by the victim's family.
Good news is that the case will never be filed as a felony.
We can only imagine how hard this whole thing's been for Caitlyn and the families involved. Our thoughts are with both parties during this trying time.
