There's no question this must be excruciatingly difficult on the entire family.

It's been rumored for a while, but we're totally buggin' that Clueless: The Musical is headed to Broadway!
Amy Heckerling wrote and directed the iconic movie, and has announced this week that a stage version of the AHmazing comedy is officially in the works! She fessed up:
"I've written what they call the 'book,' and it's a jukebox musical."
So, basically a jukebox musical is one where, rather than writing original songs for the actors to perform, the musical score consists of previously released popular songs.
Amy stayed very hush-hush about which songs will appear in the show, but the HAVE to be from the film's soundtrack! Like, duh!
What we do know is that Kristin Hanggi has signed on to run the ship, and her credits include directing Rock of Ages on Broadway for the past 6 years.
"Everything goes so slowly, and I go, 'Wow this takes a long time.' I thought movies took a long time. It's hard to know with Broadway when things will happen."
She also said finding the perfect Cher is going to be the hardest part of the whole process:
"Well casting – that's like going to be like the main problem."
Could you imagine if the lead went to Iggy Azalea! She could TOTALLY bring the Fancy music video to life!
