And he's just getting started!
Get the rundown (below):
They even turned to *gasp* BOOK FANS!
But hope may be coming to Westeros from across the Narrow Sea! In the form of Khaleesi herself Emilia Clarke!
The Terminator: Genisys star claims she — like Jon Snow — knows nothing, but believes there's a decent chance it's not over!
Besides the Mother Of Dragons' "50/50 chance" there's another interesting bit of evidence for Jon Snow coming back.
In a casting call for season six, the show seems to be casting a character that may reveal more about Jon's mysterious past:
"A man in his thirties or forties who is a great swordsman and a paragon of knighthood. He carries a hugely famous sword on his back. The show is seeking a very impressive swordsman for the role—the best in Europe, for a week of filming fight scenes for a season 6 role. His ethnicity/race isn't specified, unlike many other roles."
Fans are speculating this is a call for Ser Arthur Dayne — a legendary warrior known as the Sword Of The Morning who died years before the show began.
So he would only be shown in flashback, likely of his famous fight with Ned Stark.
In the books, it's revealed the two fought because Dayne was guarding the tower where Prince Rhaegar Targaryen was keeping Ned's sister Lyanna.
According to the R+L=J fan theory, Lyanna is really the mother of Jon, and this was the moment she revealed Jon to her brother — and asked him to keep the secret for her.
So if all that is true, and we're finally going to see the secret history of Jon Snow… why bother if he's gone for good? Right??
What do YOU think?
Good detective work or fans grasping at straws??
