The singer, who is pregnant with twins, WILL headline the festival in 2018 -- so at least the BeyHive has that!
In a statement to The Associated Press on Thursday, Bey's Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said:
Well this is an interesting turn of events!
While most of the people attached to this year's Miss USA competition have quit following Donald Trump's racist Presidential Bid speech and subsequent firing from NBC, not everyone is giving up on the pageant.
That's because Jeannie Mai has actually come forward saying she will follow through with her hosting contract, but wants to make one thing clear…
She's doing this for the girls; not for Trump!
"While I absolutely do not condone Mr. Trump's statements, after careful deliberation I have decided to continue my role as co-host of the upcoming Miss USA Pageant.
For the past several years, I have been co-hosting both Miss USA and Miss Universe aligned to support President Paula Shugart. I can't abandon these women when they need our support now more than ever."
That's actually pretty honorable.
Jeannie has become a staple at the pageants, so we're sure she has a personal connection to the competition that Trump never had.
What do U think about her choice to stay with the brand??
