IBM spokesperson Carrie Altieri was pretty straight-up about the whole thing, deflecting any cost concerns in a statement confirming the tech giants will foot the bill for the entire thing:
"The concerns about cost are [nothing] compared to our drive to help our working moms."
Initially, the program will be for employees traveling domestically in America, but it's going to eventually go global. That's important, since IBM has nearly half a million employees in almost 200 countries!
Considering how many moms are already in the workplace — with so many more entering every generation — it's great to see companies start to think progressively about how best to create a work-life balance, even on business trips!
What do U think about IBM's decision to ship breast milk?!
