It turns out Judd Apatow is more connected to Bill Cosby's rape allegations than we thought.
The comedian has bashed Bill on multiple occasions, and we just sort of figured he was the celeb spearheading the conversation.

As it turns out, the director isn't as removed from the scandal as we thought.
He revealed that he actually knows one of the 77-year-old's victims, saying:
"The Cosby thing I took seriously because I know one of the victims, who is not going to come forward. I had a personal connection to it, where somebody that I care about said that's exactly how it went down."
He explains that it's important to verify victims' claims in a situation like this — but if women feel they're going to be automatically doubted or written off, they won't want to come forward:
"Obviously you have to make sure things are true. Everything everyone says isn't true. But if you don't believe women or take their accusations very, very seriously, women will not speak up. And if women don't speak up more women will be raped."
He said that because so many women have spoken up about Bill, it can't all be coincidence, or ladies just looking for their fifteen minutes:
"It's much easier not to believe the accuser. With Cosby, for a while people were thinking, 'They're all gold diggers.' And at some point enough women came forward that the world knows this happened and that he is clearly some sort of sociopath."
We had no idea the 47-year-old had such a strong personal attachment to the scandal.
Now we understand exactly why he's been so vocal about calling out the comedian recently.
