Bill O'Reilly got his longtime friend to acknowledge that McCain is a war hero, but The Donald still argued that the Arizona senator could be doing a better job fighting for our country's veterans, explaining:
"These veterans are living in hell. They're hurting, and they're crying. You see these strong, powerful people, and you see tears coming down their eyes."
The 69-year-old then took the opportunity to declare that if he was elected president, veterans would be treated with the respect they deserve!
But that tangent didn't stop O'Reilly from reeling Trump back in to the McCain controversy. The host concluded his interview instructing the candidate:
"Okay, you got 45 seconds. I want you to say something to Senator McCain tonight, man to man, right to him — right now."
