The way you make Meesah feel?

Jar Jar Binks is considered one of film's most disliked characters of all time. But the clumsy, babbling Gugan in the Star Wars prequel trilogy could have been way more appealing — because the character was almost played by Michael Jackson!

Ahmed Best, the actor who played Binks, revealed that the King of Pop expressed interest in playing the creature using prosthetics and makeup like in his Thriller video, but George Lucas shot down the idea!

Best attended one of MJ's concerts with Lucas and Natalie Portman. Best explained that when he met Jackson backstage, Lucas introduced him to the pop icon as "Jar Jar"!

The actor revealed that after the concert, Lucas explained the reasoning behind the peculiar introduction, saying:

"I'm having a drink with George, and I said, ‘Why did you introduce me as Jar Jar?' He said, ‘Well, Michael wanted to do the part but he wanted to do it in prosthetics and makeup like Thriller.'"

While most of us would agree that prosthetics would have been better than the hot CGI mess that was Binks, Lucas stuck to his vision. Best continued:

"My guess is ultimately Michael Jackson would have been bigger than the movie, and I don't think he wanted that."

We would have loved a moonwalking Jar Jar Binks, but we can't blame Lucas for sticking with his original plan.

Do you think MJ's version of Jar Jar Binks would have been less annoying?
