How did Taylor Swift Shake It Off to be friends with Kanye West?!
In case you forgot, the All Day rapper rushed the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards where he stole the spotlight from the then country singer. However by the 2015 Grammy Awards, the musical icons seemed to have put their past behind them.
Well, it appears their new found friendship is all thanks to Jay Z. AH-Mazing!
In her recent interview with Vanity Fair, she shared:
"I feel like I wasn't ready to be friends with [West] until I felt like he had some sort of respect for me, and he wasn't ready to be friends with me until he had some sort of respect for me—so it was the same issue, and we both reached the same place at the same time. I became friends with Jay Z, and I think it was important, for Jay Z, for Kanye and I to get along."

Hmm, very inneresting. Could Jay Z be looking to produce one epic collaboration with TSwizzle and Yeezus?! WE KID!
However, it seems the two powerhouses have even found some common ground to chat about.
"Kanye and I both reached a place where he would say really nice things about my music and what I've accomplished, and I could ask him how his kid's doing."
Though the blonde beauty's buried her feud with Mr. West, she's still at odds with Spotify.
Last year, the Style singer removed her music from the streaming site and wrote an op-ed piece about the company. Though her relationship with Spotify may not be restored — the starlet was able to reach Apple to protect her rights as an artist.
"I wrote the letter at around 4 a.m. The contracts had just gone out to my friends, and one of them sent me a screenshot of one of them. I read the term 'zero percent compensation to rights holders.' Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night and I'll write a song and I can't sleep until I finish it and it was like that with the letter."
Wow! However, before taking on the tech company, the Bad Blood performer made sure to read the letter to her mom. LOLz!
Hey, whatever works — and boy did it work.
"Apple treated me like I was a voice of a creative community that they actually cared about. And I found it really ironic that the multi-billion-dollar company reacted to criticism with humility, and the start-up with no cash flow reacted to criticism like a corporate machine."
Of course, Taylor's squad of talented singers, models, actresses, and authors were there support the Grammy winner's cause.
Though we're not shocked as Tay Tay revealed that her group of girlfriend's is more like a sisterhood than anything else. LOVES it.
But we are curious to know if there are ever squabbles amongst the sisters — maybe over boys?!
"We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people. It's almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It's so much more important than some guy that it didn't work out with.
When you've got this group of girls who need each other as much as we need each other, in this climate, when it's so hard for women to be understood and portrayed the right way in the media…now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other—and just because you have the same taste in men, we don't hold that against each other."
Color us jealous! We think Taylor is absolutely SLAYING it right now.
Keep doing you girl.
