This is so incredibly sad.
Chris Hyndman, who co-hosted Steven and Chris with his husband and co-host of almost 25 years, Steven Sabados, was found dead in an alleyway in Toronto at 11 p.m. on Monday night. This tragic event came only a couple days after he returned home from vacation.
Not a whole lot is known about the death at this time as the Toronto police will not release anyone's private information unless the case is deemed to be a criminal investigation.
The show's Facebook page did release a statement in regards to the death saying:
"It is with profound sadness that we share the news Christopher Hyndman died early this morning. We extend our deepest sympathies to Steven, family, friends and colleagues; our thoughts are with them all."
Chris was born in the provice of Newfoundland, Canada in 1966. It wasn't until 1992 though when he really broke onto the scene helping to co-create a design company, The Sabados Group, with his longtime partner Steven.
The two furthered their success on television with their show, Designer Guys, a Canadian HGTV lifestyle show. Aside from that, he also wrote a best-selling book and right before the launch and success of Steven and Chris in 2008, the men launched a line of decorative accessories, furniture, and textiles.
