When asked if he wanted to have a little R-Patz running around, the Twilight star responded with a resounding yes! He said:
"Definitely, although I still don't know when."
The 29-year-old even knows what his future kid's behavior is going to be like — super chill and laid back!
"Sure I will have a child who is totally cool and confident. He or she will probably look at me every day and think, 'Why is this guy such a funny, quirky oddball?' "
His fascination with fatherhood could have a little something to do with the fact that he plays a dad in his new movie Life, in which he stars as a photographer for the popular magazine by the same name.
His character is tasked with taking pictures of James Dean, which causes him to be absent from his family. Robert doesn't think he'll approach life as a dad quite the same way:
"I was so attracted by the role in Life. At my age, you don't get so many chances to play a father – and certainly not one who leaves his family in the lurch. Personally I imagine it different, of course."
But he's not the only one with babies on the brain! His main squeeze has also spoken about how she recently starting thinking about what it would be like to have kids, saying:
"Women are amazing creatures. We can give birth. We have a womb. We can create life! … I honestly didn't give a sh*t about any of this stuff until about two years ago. I don't know whether it's my age – I'm going to be 28 in January – but all of a sudden I started thinking that if I had a daughter, it is gonna be terrifying."
How does that song go?
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage? LOL!
