What a relief!
Sandra Lee had to go back in for surgery after scary complications from her double mastectomy, but she's resting comfortably now.
On Tuesday night, her team shared the update:
"We are happy to let you know that Sandra Lee is out of surgery. The operation took more than two hours, and Sandra is resting in post-op. Governor Cuomo remains with Sandra in the recovery room, as her anesthesia subsides."
Hopefully her infection is no longer an issue now!

Especially since Sandra's been through a lot in the past few months. She was diagnosed with breast cancer back in March and underwent her first surgery in May.
But her team also continued:
"She was insistent that he please have some dinner, and that her nurses do the same - and that they get some ice cream for dessert. Sandra was very thirsty, but the nurses told her she still had to wait to drink water, but maybe they could negotiate with an ice chip? Sandra lifted her head slightly and said '…water WAS my negotiation…I'd really love a nice glass of rosé…' …So, let's just say her celebratory self is right in place! She will return to her hospital room after post-op, and hopefully get some sleep. We will let you know how things go overnight - and again, we thank you for your incredible support."
Someone get her a glass of rosé soon! Well, as soon as the doctor gives the okay!
It's a celebration!
We'll still be thinking of Sandra as she recovers. Feel better soon!
