It's no surprise Donald Trump has a pretty contentious relationship with Rosie O'Donnell.
But in a recent interview, the Republican presidential hopeful said the comedienne "saved" him during this month's Republican debate!
During the Ohio debate, moderator Megyn Kelly called out The Donald for his past misogynistic comments in which he called women "fat pigs" and "slobs"!

With no real response queued up, the former Apprentice host quipped, "Only Rosie O'Donnell."
The tasteless jab got a significant laugh out of the Republican audience, which the 69-year-old said allowed him to dodge the question. He revealed:
"Rosie actually saved me because that was a rough question. So Rosie, finally you saved me. Because the room went wild. Between the laughing and the applause — it really stopped the rest of the question, which was just a continuation of 'kill.' That was a question that could have ruined my whole evening."
Oh no! We're sure almost having to own up to the nasty things you've said about people would definitely put a damper on your night!
The billionaire says a lot of his offensive comments about women came from past interviews with Howard Stern, long before his campaign days. He continued:
"When you're with Howard, you're talking. I never intended to be running for president. You're talking, you're having fun, you're a big real estate developer and a big businessman and what you say doesn't matter…Today I wouldn't say that."
Still no apology, folks. But he's great at making excuses!
