Subway is making it perfectly clear that they are no longer friends with Jared Fogle.
To jog your memory, on Wednesday, court documents revealed that the former Subway spokesman admitted to to having sex with at least two minors and obtaining child pornography of 12 others.
The weight loss activist has since pleaded guilty to one count of traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor and one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.
Apparently, the sandwich shop franchise agrees with our sentiments, taking to Facebook to clarify they in no way support J.F.
Jared's been linked to the popular restaurant chain since 2000 when he claimed the company helped him lose over 200 pounds. Since climbing to fame, the fallen spokesperson's said to have made millions off of being the company's pitchman.
Nonetheless, when the 37-year-old's home was raided back in July, his former sponsor severed all ties with him.
With his recent plea deal, it's reported that Jared has agreed to serve at least 5 years in prison as well as pay $1.4 million in restitution — which is $100,000 per victim. However, he could serve up to 12 1/2 years.
In addition to all the legal drama, we're not entirely shocked to learn that Mrs. Fogle has since decided to divorce her scandalized husband.
We aren't sure if there is a way for Jared to come back from such heinous, criminal behavior — and to be honest, we don't want him to.
Our thoughts are with Fogle's victims.
