"This wasn't something they ever imagined was possible. They so strictly limit their exposure to these sorts of outside influences – from websites to even the sort of television they watch, if they turn on the TV at all – that they were absolutely baffled by how this could have been possible."
Well, he is a grown man who has access to the internet. It's not THAT hard to google something.
As we previously reported, the controversial parents addressed their son's alleged Ashley Madison account in a joint statement with their eldest on their family website.
"When we learned of this late last night our hearts were broken. As we continue to place our trust in God we ask for your prayers for Josh, Anna, our grandchildren and our entire family."
We can only imagine how this conservative duo are handling this shocking news.
Though the source continued:
"[ Jim Bob and Michelle ] are feeling more devout than ever because they are turning 100 percent to God and prayer and their church community to help them through this. Their faith is in no way rocked by this."
Very inneresting. Perhaps Josh's parents don't have as a strict a hold over their children as they thought they did?
The insider added:
"They just don't know who this person is who could have done this. It's like he's a completely different person from who they thought he was, and they're still trying to reconcile all that they know is good about Josh, whom they will always love and adore, with what they've learned now."
If we were the father-of-four, we'd certainly have a hard time looking our parents in the eye after they defended us on NATIONAL television. Yikes!
The source also explained:
"As for Josh, in this moment, I would assume he feels like his life is ruined. Don't forget that the main aspect he focused on in his attempt to fix things after the molestation scandal was the fact that he was young when that happened and that he had since rebuilt himself, turned to a righteous path and was a good, upstanding, decent man who had learned from his mistakes.
The whole idea was that people should forgive what he did when he was a teenager because he was such a great guy now. So for this to come to light …. He's ruined. It will be such a steep and practically impossible climb to come back from this."
It'll certainly be interesting to see if the eldest Duggar child will dig himself out of this ordeal or have his parents clean up this mess again.
The President-elect last night tuned in for Saturday Night Live, as he apparently often does, and after seeing himself spoofed by Alec Baldwin on the show, The Donald took to Twitterto deliver a VERY strong (haha, jk) message!
