It's hard to imagine the Oscars without its jaw-dropping ending!
Sadly, this meant the comedian couldn't close the show with
This is fantastic!
Grammy-winning producer Emilio Estefan has recruiting quite a few of his famous friends to help record a song called We're All Mexican that hopes to fight all the anti-Mexican statements thrown their way
by Trump recently.
Emilio talked a bit about what caused him to take on a project like this by saying he was sick and tired of hearing people make ridiculous and hateful statements towards the Latin community, and he wanted to create a song that was a "celebration of Hispanics and our accomplishments."
"There's a message being sent out to the world where people are giving opinions that are plain wrong. We need to lift up our pride and show the world what we're doing."
The famed producer also wants to make sure people know the song:
"… is not so much an answer to the real-estate developer turned Republican candidate as it is an answer to the sentiment that we've progressed [as Hispanics] and we need to let people know that."
"Trump doesn't represent anything to me. Everyone has their opinion, and he can have whatever opinion he wants, as long as he doesn't humiliate my people."
The track is due out toward the end of September and will also feature Wisin, Wyclef Jean, Enrique Santos, and Spanish-American chef José Andrés.
We can't wait to hear the track and hope this helps spread awareness about an obvious problem with racism in this country!
