Zuckerberg held a Q&A at Facebook's headquarters discussing the company's decision, saying:
"I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we're working on it and shipping it … What they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment."
Apparently, Facebook has had their developers working on this little tiny button for quite a while — but it takes a long time to make the Internet work, according to the tech whiz kid:
"It's surprisingly complicated to make an interaction that will be simple."
No word yet on when it will start to be rolled out, but apparently fairly soon you can expect to see it in your news feeds!!
