This is surprisingly calculated.
After Vice President Joe Biden's son Beau died from brain cancer in May, news leaked that the younger man's dying wish had been to see his father run for President in 2016.

Now, according to a report, it appears that VP Biden himself is the one who "leaked" the information that his son had asked him to run for president!
POLITICO reports that Biden himself called Maureen Dowd, columnist for the New York Times, to run the story about how Beau had, on his deathbed, made his father make a promise he'd run for president, with Beau's reasoning being:
"The White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values."
Dowd didn't name her source, which protected Joe from seeming so calculated in his bid for the presidency so soon after his son's untimely death.

Then, predictably, when campaign folks began reaching out to the elder Biden about running, the VP could come away saying he was just listening to campaign pitches and not seeking them out.
Now, according to an unnamed source, some backlash may be forming over exactly how Biden manipulated his son's death for a campaign run:
"Calculation sort of sounds crass, but I guess that's what it is. The head is further down the road than the heart is."
Hmmm… we're not sure how to really feel about this. Biden's son's death was SO sad, and the Vice President clearly was so hurt by it. But this is also so… political.
What do U think??
