Reports began to circle that, on Wednesday night, the prosecutor filed a request to dismiss the charges.
Then on Thursday, while a spokesperson for the lawyer's office didn't comment on the motion, the source did explain that Fairfield County ProsecutorGregg Marx only has 30 days to decide whether or not to administer new charges.
The spokesperson also added that the investigation is ongoing.
