The November 4 episode of L&O — called Patrimonial Burden — will center on an investigation into a reality TV family after the discovery of their 13-year-old daughter's pregnancy.
Because it's SVU, there are going to be a thousand twists and turns — and the TV show of course won't perfectly mirror the real-life fam — but according to at least one person in the know, the Duggars inspired the episode!!
Peter Scanavino, who plays Detective Carisi on SVU, talked to reporters about this particular episode, and had some incredibly strong words about the family from 19 Kids & Counting:
"With the Duggar one, it was like the double-whammy because it was his sisters and the fact—I mean, honestly, I feel like we're dealing with some topics this season that feel a bit meatier than some lunatic fringe family…I wouldn't mind doing one just because I have never been so infuriated with someone's level of hypocrisy, and lying, and then displacement of responsibility onto something else. When I think about that guy, it boils my blood, I will say."
Hey, Peter, join the club! We're with you on THAT!!
Never a show to shy away from controversial topics, Mariska Hargitay's popular series looks to get even more relevant come November 4.
Will U be tuning in??
