Like a lot of people, Ariana Grande had a very specific reference in mind when changing up her hairstyle!
But unlike most of us, the Love Me Harder songstress's hair-inspiration came from a Harry Potter villain!
Speaking to Kent ‘Smallzy' Small on Nova Fm on Thursday, the pint-sized pop star shared her hairspiration behind her platinum locks in the newly released Focus cover art.

Surprisingly, she admitted she stole the look from Slytherin alum Lucius Malfoy (played by Jason Isaacs in the films)!
She said about her new do:
"It's white.. it's very Lucius Malfoy… he was sort of my go-to reference!"
We bet that was the first time the singer's hairstylist heard that request! Ha!
Ari also dished about the sound of her new single Focus, revealing that it was something of a spiritual sequel to her 2014 hit Problem!
"It definitely is like a different version to it [Problem]… it has definitely evolved and is like Problem on steroids.. it has the funky beats and like the horns in it too [so] lots of similarities"
Are we sure she means steroids and not Felix Felicis potion? LOLz!
Villain-inspired or not, we're all about Ariana's new Lucius locks and can't wait to hear her single when it drops on October 30!
