This is so awful!
This is heartbreaking.
As we previously reported, Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after being found unconscious Tuesday at a legal Nevada brothel. And it turns out that, while he and Khloé Kardashian had signed their divorce papers over the summer, a judge hasn't been able to sign off on them, so the estranged couple is still technically married.
Back when they first got together, the reality star had promised her then-husband that she would take care of his kids if anything were to happen to him.
In an interview from 2012 — before the two had filed for divorce — the NBA forward explained that the 31-year-old swore to look after the children he shares with ex Liza Morales, saying:
"I think two to three weeks [into our relationship], she said, 'Lamar, you know what? Anything ever happens to you, I got your kids. They're always going to be all right.' That meant so much. She's a serious person and when she's down for you she's down for you."
But it looks like Khloé is sticking to her word, since she supposedly flew the basketball player's kids out to Las Vegas to be by their dad's side at Sunrise Hospital.
Since being admitted to the medical facility, sources say the 35-year-old had multiple strokes and is suffering from organ failure.
Because Khloé is still legally married to the ailing athlete, she's in charge of his medical care during this scary situation. In his interview three years ago, Lamar praised her ability to be so caring, commenting:
"She's just thorough. If she has your back she's going to follow you the whole way through. There's not a tough time or any situation that's going to deter her or turn her off from what you going through. If she has your back and she's down with you, she's down with you. I've experienced that time after time after time."
KoKo definitely proved that when she rushed out to Sin City to be with her ex as soon as she heard the news.
Our hearts and thoughts are with Lamar, Khloé, and everyone affected during this trying time. We're hoping he is able to pull through.
