We could get on board with this idea!
The music industry took a huge hit when we lost Amy Winehouse back in 2011.
Since then, we've gotten a bit more information about her life which involved quite a bit of drug use.

Just this year, we got a VERY well-received documentary called Amy which took a look behind the scenes of the star's rise to fame.
But Hollywood isn't done yet as a biopic about the Rehab singer's life is in the works!
The film — to be written and directed by Irish filmmaker Kristen Sheridan – hasn't been cast yet, but Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress Noomi Rapace is in talks to star!
Noomi is probably best known internationally for her roles in the Millennium trilogy and the Alien prequel Prometheus. She's also in talks to star opposite Christian Bale in a biopic of Enzo Ferrari, so it's looking like a busy year!

Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, has reportedly started conversations with the production regarding obtaining music rights for the movie.
That would obviously be a major blow if the film doesn't attain the rights, and with Mitch not too happy about the documentary from earlier this year, the decision could go either way.
Though we miss Winehouse, we think a biopic would be a great way to help a wide stream audience understand the problems she faced.
What do you think? Are you on board with this movie idea and casting??
